Why I started this
My name is Flemming Harboe Olsen. As I have grown older, my interest in fitness has become a wider question: how can we help more people protect the years in which they can move, think, contribute and enjoy life?
We are living longer, but lifespan alone is not the whole story. I care about healthspan—the years lived with as much energy, clarity and independence as our circumstances allow.
Healthy Agers began from frustration with extreme plans, miracle promises and systems that often wait until people are unwell. But frustration is not enough. This community is about useful action: moving more, building strength, eating food that supports us, sleeping, staying connected and asking better questions.
Experience without pretending to be an expert
I bring lived experience, curiosity and the discipline of physical work. I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. When a topic requires medical expertise, Healthy Agers points toward qualified care and reputable sources.
A free international community
Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be fit, young, wealthy or perfect. You only need an interest in creating a stronger future and treating other people with respect.
“This is not about adding years to life at any cost. It is about protecting life in the years we have.”
Get in touch
I read the messages myself. Questions, stories, thoughtful disagreement and ideas for the community are welcome.
